Fidelity Health Care also works with your family to ensure you are instructed on how to properly self-manage your care even after the nurse leaves. Educating your family is an integral part of home care services with Fidelity and is carefully coordinated to assure you gain maximum effectiveness from your home care treatment.
The nursing staff at Fidelity includes registered nurses and licensed practical nurses. Nursing services include home visits, case management, and specialty care like infusion nursing, cardiology, high-risk obstetrics, and respiratory care.
A nurse can come to your home to assist with a specific medical task such as caregiver education, wound care, maternity aftercare, diabetes care, and more. These visits are common among patients with acute as well as chronic health conditions. Generally, an assessment visit occurs two or three times per week for the first few weeks, then decreases to once or twice a week for the next month. Infusion therapy visits could be daily or weekly, according to the patients’ needs. Wound care can be weekly, according to the diagnosis.
