Rebecca Chenault of Fidelity Health Care Receives Dorothy Royce Award

COLUMBUS – Rebecca Chenault, RN, Manager of Clinical Quality & Education at Fidelity Health Care, recently was awarded the Dorothy Royce Award by the Ohio Council for Home Care and Hospice (OCHCH) in recognition of her outstanding work in promoting the quality health care services provided to Ohioans in their home.  Named in honor of the OCHCH founding president, this prestigious award is to acknowledge an individual that has worked hard to promote home care and hospice in the state of Ohio and in the community.

"Becky has worked tirelessly in the homecare industry and is a great ambassador for Fidelity Health Care.  Through her enthusiasm, dedication, and excellence in home care services, Becky has been a great role model for the thousands of Ohioans who provide such care," said Kathleen Anderson, OCHCH President.

Becky has been an RN for 29 years; 19 of those years in home care, and has been in her current role as manager of clinical education and quality at Fidelity Health Care since 2011.  She has worked in a variety of settings and a variety of roles, but her love is in home care.

Becky acts as a resource to home care agencies throughout the state, often assisting with answering members questions.  Colleagues say of her, “Becky is one of the most dedicated and knowledgeable home care professionals that I have had the privilege to know.  She is always willing to help others regardless of how busy she is.  No matter how trying of a day it is she greets you with a smiling face and is ready to help.”  She always says “Thank You” and “My Pleasure.”

Becky is a diligent advocate of home care and hospice, having served on the OCHCH Education Committee the past ten years and on the OCHCH Board of Directors the past eight years, through which she has worked to promote the interests of the home care and hospice industry to regulatory and legislative officials.  Her leadership has been key in helping OCHCH to address the challenges faced in the home care environment, and in providing guidance and education to our member agencies.
The Ohio Council for Home Care and Hospice is the longest serving home care and hospice association in Ohio, as well as the largest with 560 members.
